PHYSICIAN-GUIDED WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

Your Weight Loss Journey Starts Here

Losing weight is hard when you are doing it alone, and it gets harder when the medication you need costs more than your rent. At Doctors United Group, we take both problems off your plate. Our licensed providers build a weight loss plan around your health history, prescribe FDA-approved medication when it is clinically appropriate, and help eligible patients access it at little to no cost.

Care is available at our clinics across Florida and by telehealth. Walk-ins are welcome, and you do not need insurance to get started.

Physician-Guided Weight Management Options

GLP-1 and dual-agonist medications work by slowing digestion and quieting appetite signals, so you feel full sooner and stay full longer. They are not a shortcut. They work best alongside nutrition guidance, activity, and regular check-ins with a provider who knows your chart. That is exactly how we prescribe them.

Wegovy® Pill

An oral semaglutide tablet taken daily. A good fit if you would rather not use an injection, and simple to build into a morning routine.

Wegovy® Pen

A once-weekly semaglutide injection you give yourself at home. Your provider starts you low and steps the dose up gradually to limit side effects.

Zepbound® Pen

A once-weekly tirzepatide injection that acts on two appetite pathways instead of one. Often considered when a patient needs a different response than semaglutide provides.

Wegovy® and Zepbound® are prescribed only when clinically appropriate. Your provider will review your weight history, current medications, lab work, and any conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, or high blood pressure before recommending a treatment. If medication is not the right path, we will tell you and help you build a plan that is.

You may be a candidate if any of the following sound familiar:

Weight rarely sits on its own. If your visit turns up something that needs attention, our primary care team can manage it alongside your weight loss plan. We also offer dedicated healthcare for women and healthcare for men, so hormone health, heart health, and preventive screenings are all handled under one roof.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need insurance to start a weight loss program?

No. We serve insured and uninsured patients. If you do have coverage, our team can help you use it and apply for copay or premium assistance where you qualify.

How much will I pay?

Eligible patients may pay nothing out-of-pocket and save up to $299 per month. Your exact cost depends on the medication prescribed, your coverage, and the assistance programs you qualify for. We will explain the numbers clearly before you commit to anything.

How fast will I see results?

Most patients notice reduced appetite within the first few weeks. Meaningful weight change usually shows over several months, and it depends on your starting point, your dose schedule, and the habits you build alongside the medication.

Are there side effects?

Nausea, constipation, and mild stomach upset are the most common, and they usually ease as your body adjusts. Your provider starts you at a low dose for that reason. Tell us what you are feeling at every check-in so we can adjust.

Why is STD screening part of the intake?

A full baseline picture makes for safer prescribing. Screening is free, completely confidential, and handled in the same judgment-free way as every service we offer, including our PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP services.

Can I do this by telehealth?

Many follow-up visits and medication management appointments can be done by telehealth. Your first evaluation may need to be in person depending on your history and the testing required.
